Golf Advantage, Inc. is in the business of helping golfers get the most out of their golf games. Over the past several years, advancements in technology have been a central part of the statistical improvements of the best players in the game. Driving distances, for example, have gone up on the PGA Tour by over 11 yards in the past 2 years and nearly 20 yards in the past 5 years. Certainly an argument can be made that this is in part because of improved golf swings and improved workout regimens, but initial “ball speeds” have gone up less than 1.5 miles per hour which only accounts for a 4 or 5 yard difference. The additional 15-16 yards have, with out a doubt, come from the equipment manufactures’ ability to match up “an ideal Launch Angle and Spin Rate” with each golfers Ball Speed.
Vector Launch Monitor
The biggest advantage that Touring Professionals have over the public when it comes to “technology” is that they have access to the high tech Launch Monitors, the endless number of shafts, model types and lofts that have previously only been available to the best golfers in the world.
Thanks to products like the Vector Launch Monitor, this is no longer the case. There are now a limited number of retail companies, like Golf Advantage, Inc., that have brought this technology to the public. Golf Advantage, Inc. combines one of the countries premier outdoor testing facilities, the most complete selection of fitting drivers and the most technologically advanced testing equipment available to the public, ANYWHERE.
There are three “Launch Conditions” that determine how far a ball will travel: Ball Speed, Launch Angle and Spin Rate. The Vector Launch Monitor (used by R&D facilities at Ping, Mizuno, Callaway, Adams and McGregor to properly fit tour players) measures all three of these Launch Factors to give us the information to know EXACTLY which driver, shaft and loft combination will result in the most optimal fit for each of our customers.

FlightScope Ball Tracking Monitor
Golf is distance control. A golfer’s ability to manage his/her golf game depends enormously upon their ability to control the distance each ball travels. In the past, there was only one way to know how far each shot traveled: to physically measure each shot. In its effort to bring the greatest number of improvement opportunities to the golfing public, Golf Advantage, Inc. has found a product that allows us a means of measuring each shot a golfer hits during a fitting session. The FlightScope ball tracking monitor is THE most technologically advanced piece of fitting equipment in the world.
Based on “missile tracking technology” developed for the British Government, FlightScope tracks exactly what the golf ball does from the instant it leaves the club face until it hits the ground. It measures the speed, launch angle, spin rate, hang time, maximum height, and distance that each shot travels. Its’ impressive software program allows our fitters to keep track of the shots that our customers hit with each club in their bag. This knowledge gives us exact calibration capabilities to make sure that our customers arm themselves with a set of clubs that have the most “playable trajectories” and “functional yardage gaps”. In short, the technology by FlightScope has given Golf Advantage, Inc. the ability to fit it’s customers into a set of clubs that gives them The Most Distance Control possible.
Ideal Shafts, correct lie angles, proper lengths and perfectly fine tuned loft adjustments can be quickly determined by Golf Advantage, Inc. and the FlightScope ball tracking monitor. GolfSmith Lie & Loft Adjustment
There was a time when it took weeks or even months to fine tune a set of irons to have precise Lies and Lofts. Golfers don’t swing the same when swinging into a net as they do when swinging outdoors. Therefore, to accurately fine tune Lies and Lofts, golfers would have to hit shots on an outdoor range or at a golf course and then bring their clubs indoors and have a club repair specialist make the adjustments. If anything was not absolutely PERFECT, the golfer wouldn’t know until getting back out to the golf course or driving range. This process is time consuming.
Golf Advantage, Inc. has an extremely accurate Lie and Loft machine that is “semi-portable”. We are able to set up our GolfSmith Lie and Loft machine outdoors on the driving range at out testing facility. So we are able to perfectly, accurately fine tune our customers’ clubs during the fitting process. The immediate feedback we receive allows us to “dial in” a set of irons faster and more accurately than through any other club fitting method available
